BITSAT 2013 Eligibility Criteria

Age Limit – Candidates age must be between 18 Years to 28 years

Eligibility for Admissions: (For Admission to the academic year 2012-13)

For admission to any of the above Integrated First Degree programmes Candidates should have passed the 12th examination of 10+2 system from a recognized Central or State board or its equivalent with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics. Further the candidate should have obtained a minimum of aggregate 75% marks in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics subjects in 12th examination, with at least 60% marks in each of the Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics subjects and should have adequate proficiency in English. Students who are appearing for 12th examination in 2012 or who have passed 12th Examination in 2011 only are eligible to appear in the BITSAT-2012 test. Students who have passed 12th examination in 2010 or earlier are NOT eligible to appear in BITSAT-2012. Students who are presently studying in BITS at any of its campuses are not eligible to appear in BITSAT-2012 Admissions will be made purely on merit. The merit position of the candidate for admission will be based on the score obtained by the candidate in the BITSAT-2012. However, their eligibility for admission is subject to fulfilling the requirement of minimum marks in 12th examination, as mentioned above. The Institute considers only the latest performance through a public examination for admission. If the results of the latest examination are not available within the due date for submission of application, the candidate will not be considered even if there are some earlier performances of 12th class or its equivalent or any higher examination available with him/her. If a candidate has taken more than one attempt in 12th class or its equivalent, only his latest performance is considered, provided this attempt has been for the full component of subjects/courses prescribed. Direct Admission to Board Toppers: In the past, admission process of the Institute always ensured guaranteed admission to all the students who obtained first ranks in their respective board examinations. This has given a very vital input of highly meritorious students from all over India. Continuing this tradition, the Institute will give direct admission to first rank students of all the central and state boards to the programme of their choice, irrespective of their BITSAT-2012 score.

नई दिल्ली, चौंकिए नहीं! वर्ष 2012-13 की दाखिला प्रक्रिया के दौरान नॉर्थ कैंपस में अधिक आवेदनों पर रोक लगाने के लिए डीयू प्रशासन ऐसी एडवाजरी जारी करने की योजना बना रहा है, जिसके तहत जिस छात्र के 85 फीसदी से कम अंक होंगे, उसे नॉर्थ कैंपस के कॉलेजों में दाखिले के लिए आवेदन करने की अनुमति नहीं मिलेगी।
डीयू के अधिकारिक सूत्र के अनुसार नॉर्थ कैंपस के एक-एक कॉलेज में दाखिले के लिए 50-50 हजार से अधिक आवेदन किए जाते हैं। इन आवेदनों में 90 फीसदी से अधिक छात्र ऐसे होते हैं, जिनका अंक प्रतिशत इतना नहीं होता कि वे कॉलेज की कट ऑफ लिस्ट में स्थान पा सकें। ऐसे में कॉलेजों पर से फार्माें की छंटनी का का भार कम करने के लिए इस तरह की एडवाइजरी जारी करने पर विचार हो रहा है। क्योंकि पिछले कुछ वर्षो से देखने में आ रहा है कि नॉर्थ कैंपस के कॉलेजों में कॉमर्स, इकॉनोमिक्स ऑनर्स, गणित, फिजिक्स, केमिस्ट्री जैसे पोपुलर कोर्सो के अलावा अन्य कोर्सो में भी कट ऑफ 85 फीसदी तक आते-आते नॉर्थ कैंपस के कॉलेजों में सीटें भर जाती हैं।

इस बारे में डीयू के वरिष्ठ अधिकारी कहते हैं कि वर्ष 2011-12 की दाखिला प्रक्रिया में सभी तरह के प्री-रजिस्ट्रेशन को खत्म कर दिया गया था। कट ऑफ लिस्ट में नाम आने पर कॉलेज में जाकर सीधे दाखिला लेने की नीति लागू की गई थी। लेकिन मार्कशीट और अन्य प्रमाण पत्रों का सही तरह से सत्यापन न होने के चलते दाखिलों में फर्जीवाड़ा सामने आया। इसको ध्यान में रखते हुए दाखिले से पहले ऑन लाइन रजिस्ट्रेशन प्रक्रिया पर विचार चल रहा है। इसमें आवेदन के समय ही सॉफ्टवेयर छात्र की मार्कशीट का बोर्ड रिजल्ट से मिलान कर लेगा। लेकिन देखने में आता है कि रजिस्ट्रेशन के दौरान नॉर्थ कैंपस के कॉलेजों में नामांकन के लिए कम अंक वाले छात्र भी आवेदन करते हैं। इससे प्री-रजिस्ट्रेशन सीडी का डाटा काफी हैवी हो जाता है। इसलिए कट ऑफ के अंदर आने वाले छात्रों को खंगालने के लिए के लिए कॉलेज अपने स्तर पर अलग से ऑन लाइन रजिस्ट्रेशन प्रक्रिया शुरू करता है। दाखिले के लिए छात्रों को बार-बार रजिस्ट्रेशन न करना पडे़, इसलिए इस तरह की एडवाइजरी पर विचार चल रहा है।

जोधपुर। प्रदेश के बीएड कॉलेजों में प्रवेश के लिए आयोजित पीटीईटी प्रवेश परीक्षा के लिए बुधवार तक 78 हजार अभ्यर्थियों ने ऑनलाइन आवेदन कर दिया है। पीटीईटी समन्यवक प्रो. ए के मलिक ने बताया कि ऑनलाइन आवेदन करने व फीस जमा कराने की अंतिम तिथि एक मार्च है। पीटीईटी परीक्षा 22 अप्रेल को होगी।

तीन बैंकों में जमा हो रही फीस
मलिक ने बताया कि ऑनलाइन आवेदन करने के बाद निर्धारित फीस का चालान तीन बैंकों में जमा किए जा रहे हैं। इनमें बैंक ऑफ बड़ौदा, पंजाब नेशनल बैंक व आईडीबीआई बैंक शामिल हैं। आवेदन में किसी भी तरह की समस्या आने पर अभ्यर्थी पीटीईटी कंट्रोल रूम में संपर्क कर अपनी समस्या का समाधान कर सकता है। पूर्णरूप से भरे ऑनलाइन आवेदन की प्रति, फीस का चालान, दस्तावेजों की प्रतिलिपि व दो फोटो निर्धारित संग्रह केंद्रों पर दो मार्च तक जमा कराने होंगे।

शनिवार को बीएड फार्म लेने के लिए अभ्यर्थियों का इंतजार खत्म हो गया। मुख्य डाकघर ने फार्म बेचने शुरू कर दिए हैं। पहले दिन फार्म लेने के लिए अभ्यार्थियों की अधिक भीड़ नहीं रही। नवयुग मार्केट स्थित डाकघर में शनिवार से बीएड फार्म मिलने शुरू हो गऐ। जबकि फार्म बेचने की निर्धारित तिथि 10 फरवरी थी। मुख्य डाकघर में फार्म उपलब्ध भी हो गए थे। लेकिन अधिकारियों द्वारा फार्म वितरण को लेकर कोई दिशा-निर्देश नहीं मिलने के चलते नहीं बेचे गए, इसके चलते अभ्यर्थियों को वापस लौटना पड़ा था। शनिवार को डाक कर्मचारियों को निर्देश जारी होने के बाद फार्म बेचना शुरू कर दिया गया। जो एससी-एसटी के लिए 425 एंव जनरल के लिए 800 रुपये में उपलब्ध होगा। फार्म बेचने की अंतिम तिथि 10 मार्च है। डाक विभाग अधिकारी बहादुर राम का कहना है कि निर्देश न मिलने के चलते एक दिन बाद फार्म का वितरण शुरू किया गया है। डाकघर में पीसीएस फार्म भी बेचे जा रहे हैं। इसके चलते बीएड फार्म बेचने के लिए अलग काउंटर की व्यवस्था की गई है।

First Call for Proposals Contract Research and Services Scheme (CRS) (16th January – 29th February 2012)

Biotechnology Industry Research Assistance Programme (BIRAP), is a programme of the Department of Biotechnology, Govt. of India, with an objective to facilitate innovative research. DBT-BIRAP now endeavours to extend its support to Academia in the form of grant-inaid for validation of the Proof of Concept (PoC) by an Industrial partner. The CRS scheme would support the academia-industry interaction between research institutes, universities, public funded research laboratories, governmental organizations, research foundations and companies / industries under the Public-Private Partnership (PPP) mode.
Under this, Public Sector Research Institutes, Universities who have already generated or have pre-existing scientifically established proof of concept/leads could seek support for specific research and validation process to be performed by a company partners within a defined time frame. The industry partner in turn would complete the Validation Phase in a Contract Research mode.
In addition, if the Academic group requires some specific services from the industry such as toxicology, sequencing, use of specific equipment etc. these could also be supported under this scheme.

Ms. Agatha Harrison Memorial Fellowship

Applications are invited from Indian Nationals for the award of Ms. Agatha Harrison Memorial Fellowship (only one fellowship) which the Government of the India Instituted at St. Antony’s College, Oxford (UK). The Fellowship is tenable for one year in the first instance, which can be extended by one year more on the basis of performance of the candidate. The fellowship carries an amount of £ 27,603/- per annum.

DETAILS OF FELLOWSHIP:
(1) The candidate is eligible for Economy Class air passage (both ways). Only spouse of the selected candidate will be provided Economy Class Air-fare provided he/she stays in UK with the scholar for a continuous period of one year. (As the fellowship amount is sufficient for only one person, the candidate will have to meet the expenditure on maintenance of spouse).

(2) The Fellowship is meant for scholars who have specialized in Modern Indian Studies in the subject fields of History, Economics and Political Science. Candidates should have uniformly brilliant academic record with 60% (at least) in Post graduation and a PhD degree in the subject-field chosen or published works of equivalent merit, which have received outstanding recognition. Where only grades are awarded, the candidates are required to furnish exact percentage of marks and also indicate the conversion formula. The candidates applying for the Fellowship should keep in mind that this Fellowship is intended to be for a young scholar, who is bent on pursuing an academic career and whose status would be comparable to that of a Junior Research Fellow at the University of Oxford.

EXPERIENCE: A minimum of three years teaching experience at Graduate / Postgraduate level after completing PhD as on 24.02.2012.

AGE: Candidate should be between the age of 30 to 40 years, as on 24.02.2012.
