TRAINING FOR INSTRUCTORS
The Next session of Craft Instructor Training Course at Advanced Training Institute (Formerly
Central Training Institute) Sion, Mumbai under the Government of India, MINISTRY OF LABOUR &
EMPLOYMENT, Directorate General of Employment & Training will commence from 1st August 2011 in
respective module/trades.

a) TRAINING IMPARTED IN THE FOLLOWING TRADES:
1) Welder 2) D’Man Mechanical 3) Electrician 4) Electronics 5) Turner 6) Fitter 7) Instrument Mechanic 8) Mech. Radio & Television 9) Tool & Die Maker 10) Mechanic Motor Vehicle 11) Machinist

b) DURATION OF TRAINING: 3 Months for each Module under ONE YEAR ( MODULAR PATTERN OF INSTRUCTOR TRAINING .) And The Training will be imparted on Modular Pattern. There will be in all 4 Module. Each Instructor has to clear all the 4 modules for award of NCVT certificate.

Each Module will be of 3 Months duration.
1.Engineering Technology(ET) 2. Training Methodology (TM ) 3. Trade Technology(TT-1)
4. Trade Technology(TT-2)

c) ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA: Candidates who are matriculate and between 18-40 years age and have
passed DIPLOMA course in relevant branch of Engineering or National Apprenticeship Certificate (NCVT)
course in the relevant trade or National Trade Certificate in the relevant trade are eligible for admission.

d) CERTIFICATE: After successfully completing all the Four Modules, trainees will be awarded
Certificate by the National Council for Vocational Training, Government of India, Ministry of Labour &
Employment.

e) RESERVATION: Seats are reserved for Scheduled Caste and Scheduled Tribe, OBC, physically
Handicapped, Exservicemen, women candidates as per rules subject to availability of seats left after
allotment to the Government & Private deputed candidates.

HOW TO
APPLY: Candidates may apply in the prescribed Application Form obtainable by depositing Rs. 25/- only
from Advanced Training Institute, V.N.Purav marg,Sion, Mumbai-22 Registration Fee is Rs. 50/- each.
Cost of blank application & Registration Fee can be paid in cash or by Demand Draft drawn in favour of
“Drawing & Disbursing Officer, Advanced Training Institute, Sion, Mumbai” payable at Mumbai only & also enclose self addressed unstamped envelope of size 11 cm x 25 cm. The application form can also be downloaded from the Website http://www.atimumbai.gov.in/ for which cost of blank application & Registration Fee is Rs. 75/- payable by Demand Draft as stated above. However applicant should ensure downloading of application form for “Craft Instructor Training” correctly failing which application will be rejected.
